Stratford City Hall in Summer
Mientras visitaba Stratford, Ontario, Canadá, ¡descubrí que su ayuntamiento tenía una arquitectura increíble! Como había muchas nubes en movimiento en el cielo, decidí hacer una larga exposición para poder desenfocar las nubes y hacer desaparecer las personas que caminaban a su alrededor. Apilé dos filtros ND para hacer 16 pasos, lo que me dio un tiempo de exposición de 4 minutos para capturar su arquitectura sin elementos que distorsionen.

Un Lugar de Paz
En la región de Krabi, al sur de Tailandia, hay este maravilloso lugar. El bosque tropical Phanom Bencha se acerca extremadamente al término paraíso.

Un viaje a una zona favorita en parte del archipiélago de Estocolmo me llevó a un nuevo lugar aquí que no había explorado antes. Una pequeña y escarpada península que se dirige hacia el sol naciente sobre el horizonte. Me gustó mucho la yuxtaposición de la textura de la tierra combinada con las aguas suaves obtenidas con una larga exposición gracias a mis filtros Haida. Esa combinación, junto con el colorido amanecer y los patrones de nubes bonitos, hacen de esta foto algo especial para mí. Un momento de gratitud por la belleza de la naturaleza fue un comienzo nutritivo para mi día.

Tomé esta foto mientras buscaba la posición perfecta en una nueva ubicación. Por supuesto, siempre prefiero fotografiar durante el atardecer o el amanecer… ¡los momentos en que la luz es menos dura y los colores son mágicos! Pero como siempre, el secreto es estar preparado para lo imprevisto. Era pleno día, con una luz fuerte, pero las nubes corrían muy rápido, y el océano tenía unos colores perfectos… Decidí usar mi filtro ND4.5, que es perfecto para exposiciones largas incluso en condiciones de luz plena.

My workshop-group and I experienced once again how dependent a good spot is on the right weather situation. I am sure, many people pass this spot in Prague day by day without realizing how much potential it offers. During a grey, foggy day in January 2022 I discovered this beautiful area for the first time, took some photos and knew that I will come back one day when the weather conditions are even better. This spot needs at least some fog, soft light, rain or snow.
At the beginning of my first workshop day in Prague, a few days ago, we were surprised with some heavy snowfall, although the weather forecast predicted some bright, sunny days without even one cloud in the sky. We couldn’t believe what was happening in the moment the snow began to fall so I cancelled my organized plans for the day and together with my group we headed to some of my favorite spots, which could be perfect during the snowfall in my mind.
Due to the strong contrast between the red color and the colorless background, it was impossible for us to pass by without shooting this beautiful element. We heard it almost screaming and begging to be photographed. The timing couldn’t be better and I so appreciate the chance we got this morning.
